CESSNA 177

The Cessna 177 Cardinal  is a single engine light aircraft which was designed to replace the Cessna 172. Produced between 1968 - 1978, just over 4000 examples were produced. Differences between the 177 and the 172 included a new cantilever wing design lacking the need for the wing struts found on other Cessna aircraft.

CXM is a 177b model, fitted with a constant speed propeller and 180hp engine. The aircraft is currently stored in a hangar on Ardmore's south east apron. It is avaliable for members to hire, however will require one of our instructors to fetch from the hangar first. An approved pilots list is also applicable for this aircraft. If you wish to fly CXM, please get in touch with us to organise a sign off date.
