Trial Flights

We offer several trial flight opportunities, these are all hands on and are a fantastic way to help decide if flying is for you!

You'll have the choice of either our 2 seat or 4 seat aircraft, and a flight duration ranging from 30 to 50 minutes.

Private Pilot License

Your first step to joining the world you can't step on. Share the same airspace as the birds and the airliners. Experience views that most people never get to experience. A pilot licence is more achieveable than you may think!

Requirements

  • Be a minimum 17 years of age (minimum 16 years old for first solo)

                       (Flight Training can begin at a younger age)

  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language

  • Class 2 Medical

  • Minimum 50 hours in total 

    • 15 hours Dual and 15 hours Solo

    • 10 Hours Cross Country

    • 5 Hours Instrument flight

    • 5 Terrain and Weather Awareness

  • Pass ASL Theoretical Examinations in:

    • Radio Licence (F.R.T.O.)

    • Air Law

    • Flight Navigation and Flight Planning

    • Meteorology

    • Aircraft Technical Knowledge         

    • Human Factors

  • Pass a Practical Flight Test

Commercial Pilot License

Requirements

  • Be a minimum 18 years of age 

  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language

  • Class 1 Medical

  • Minimum 100 hours Pilot in Command 

  • Minimum 30 hours cross country navigation

    •    (must be completed within 1 year)

  • Pass ASL Theoretical Examinations in:

    • Principles of Flight

    • Air Law

    • Flight Navigation and Flight Planning

    • Meteorology

    • Aircraft Technical Knowledge

    • Human Factors

 

  • Pass a Practical Flight Test

Additional Ratings

Once you are qualified, you'll be able to experience many other areas in Aviation.

Night Endorsement

Once completing the required training, you can be signed off to fly at night!

This is an experience like no other!

Cross Country Endorsement

This will allow you to fly away from your home base airport, to any other airport of your choosing!

A must for any pilot.

Aircraft Type Rating

Looking to expand your flying knowledge?

Additional type ratings will add further aircraft to your license and allow you to fly them as pilot in command!

Instrument Flight Rating

A whole new experience!

Flying IFR allows you to fly by using your instruments under the control of ATC.

This rating will require the completion of a further 3 written exams and 1 flight test.

* If you hold a PPL, you will also be required to complete CPL Meteorology and Navigation as part of your rating.

C Cat Instructor Rating

Ever thought of teaching others to fly?

The C-Cat instructor rating is the first step on the rewarding journey of being a flight instructor!
