Online Aircraft Booking System
The Airline Flying Club committee has implemented an online Internet booking system to enable pilots and instructors to easily reserve an aircraft and or instructor from any Internet connection. We have also setup a computer at the club with a broadband connection so that bookings can be activated at the club.
Weather forecast, flight plans and other flying type web access will be available, and these new facilities should move the clubs communcation systems up to modern standards.
There are a few instructions below, which will assist you in getting familiar with the system.
System Access
Enter using the "Online Booking" link on our website http://www.airlineflyingclub.org.nz
NOTE: "Online Booking" requires Javascript. Please ensure your browser supports Javascript and that you have Javascript enabled in your browser settings before trying to access the system.
If you are using Internet Explorer and you are getting a dialog box saying that "Your browser doesn't accept cookies." Download the registry fix here. When the dialog box pops up, asking if you want to Run, Save or Cancel, click "Run". A dialog box should open asking if you are sure you want to continue, click "Yes". This will configure your browser to allow the cookies from the Online Booking System.
If you just get a page of text when you click the link, right-click the link and select "Save As...". Once you have downloaded the file, you just need to double-click it to import the settings.
NOTE: This does not affect any other security settings and/or websites, it only allows cookies from the booking system.
If you are still having issues, try logging in here: www.aero-vor.ch. Click the "Airline Flying Club" link at the bottom of the page.
Username and Password
Usernames are the firstname followed by the first letter of surname. ie. JOHNS for John Smith. In a few cases a second letter from the surname is added where there are two pilots with the same sequence. The username and password are not case sensitive.
Your initial password is your Airline Flying Club Membership Number. You may (and should) change your password by logging in to the booking system and click on "Profile".
Make a Reservation
On entry to the system, you will see the current days booking sheet for all aircraft and instructors. Using the left or right buttons on the page you can move forward or backward through the days. You can also select the date using the day/month selection boxes or clicking the calendar icon. Once the date you which to book an aircraft for is selected, left click on "Reservations" at the top, then "New Reservation". Fill in all the boxes in the new window, making sure that an aircraft is selected. If there is a conflict, the booking system will create an error message. Save the selection and then you should see your booking on the selected date. Your booking identification is your initials.
To modify or delete a booking, click on the initials and correct (or delete) in the window which opens.
Inbox
The Aero VOR system operates its own internal e-mail system. If another user creates or changes a booking for you, you will be notified at your designated e-mail address under your "Profile". You can also send e-mails by using the "New E-Mail" button in the "Inbox" window.
Other options
There is an users manual available within the VOR system under "Info" menu
