No, not 40 years old, but 40 years of flying from Ardmore Airfield.

Starting flying at a young age, Rob had to wait until his 16th birthday to go first solo, and then wait until his 17th birthday to pass PPL Flight Test.  Trained by famous WWII pilot and instructor Brian Cox, Rob has enjoyed 40 years of flying from Ardmore Airfield on 2nd February 2010.

Following in the footsteps of his instructor, Brian Cox, Rob Utting is the Chief Flying Instructor of Airline Flying Club as a dedicated career instructor.  His career so far has included glider towing, parachute dropping, airline flying, night flying, aerobatics, traffic spotting, mountain flying and much more.
